Guardian Universe Future Era ©

Set nearly four thousand years after the past era events and two thousand five hundred years after the modern era, a massive space war is being fought among two powerful Empires, the Toreno Republic, and the Harness Cluster Empire, the war has lasted on and off for over a hundred years, and has cost the lives of nearly several trillion people.
Unlike the past era and the modern era racism between Aethyr and humans has died out completely due to their coexistance for nearly four thousand years.
Many characters who were in the the other two era's make reappearances in this one, though the passage of years has changed more then a few of them and some remain the same.
The Future Era focuses at first around the crew of a new prototype ship that's first flight goes disastrously wrong and ends up deep behind enemy lines.
Its scale quickly escalates as the main characters make their reappearances, and new characters are introduced in this one, also much is learned about a character from the past era, named Sigurd.
This part of the story features heavy mecha elements, the mecha are called MCA's (Mobile Combat Armour) though if someone could think up a better name, by all means type it in for me to judge and a lot of getting into genetics and that stuff, and it is filled with massive battles where many friends are killed. Not my friends, that would be bad, I don't have enough to even think of killing one, friends of the characters.

I must admit that a lot of what I write is inspired by games and shows I watched, Eledor in his first incarnation was inspired strangely enough by a mixture of star wars and dinosaurs...don't ask. And after playing the Final Fantasy's, VIII and VII he pretty much got to where he is today, and then I watched Gundam Wing, and I found that Mecha was bloody awesome, and from that came the decision to make different time Eras.
Past, Modern, Future, and one final one, oddly enough named Finale.
And at the centre of everything is literally the planet named Saudes.

I recommend Gundam Seed to anyone with any interest in anime, it's Gundam Wing, on steroids and with genetic engineering, and even has zoids!

Well Sayonara and the like

I'm glad SEED's on steroids, because Wing was on Valium! Oh I'm so funny, or not.

Hey Simon, you should check out a movie called Appleseed. The opening sequence is fantastic with one of the best fight scences that I've seen. That's followed by an awesome overview of a futuristic city.

However the first ten minutes of the movie is by far the best, after that the plot goes a bit awry, and it becomes less interesting.

Hey Simon, you should watch Sin City, cos it sounds better than whatever araluena is talking about.

You just don't appreciate anime.

I really should see Sin City, the only problem I have with anime is the fact that Australia gets so little exposure, and a lot of money is needed to be able to watch the many different series out there, very very annoying

Anime can be as free as you want it to be. You and your damn morals ;-) (BTW, if you REALLY want to see Sin City and you don't want to wait until it's out on DVD...)

Well since I've become a memeber of the uni's anime club, I have access to a large number of anime to borrow from. So say holidays ... if anyone has requests?
